Sega Genesis 1 is the more rectangular console, model number 1601 on the bottom. The original SEGA Genesis system became known as the SEGA Genesis 1 when the SEGA Genesis 2 was released. If your console is model MK-1631, then you have a SEGA Genesis 2 and need a different power supply, which we sell.
